Care Coordinators will be available to counsel family caregivers with respect to the day to day stressors that affect their lives as a result of personal caregiving to include such things as:

Financial burden of the care receiver to the caregiver
Long distance caregiving
Disease and behavior management
How to make the decision about placement

Family Consulting

Guiding Lights provides both fee based and free services/programs paid by grants, corporate sponsorship and/or individuals through the following programs:

Awakenings Program
Caregiver Skills Lab
Caregiving Professionals Sharing Suite
Resource Lending Library
Support Groups
Bi-Monthly Family Caregiver Training Program
Family Match Program

Adult Day Care Collaboration

Collaborations exist with Resources for Seniors: Total Life Centers and SarahCare to provide free respite for family caregivers so that they can have peace of mind while they are visiting Guiding Lights.
