Nurse Aide 1 (NA1) Training Program

Increase font size | Decrease font size | Print Page

The Guiding Lights NA1 Training Program is a NC state approved training program. It is 127 hours: 87 hours of curriculum and practicum and 40 clinical hours, to total seven weeks. Classes are held at the center on National Drive; clinicals are held at an Adult Day Care and Skilled Nursing Facility.

The course is designed to provide an opportunity for individuals who love caring for people to gain expertise and/or to be prepared to enter the health care field as a professional.

We are currently revising our curriculum to meet North Carolina state required new curriculum. Their changes are innovative, participatory, and interactive - making learning a more enjoyable experience!

As soon as we have completed revisions, we will post the dates for upcoming courses. In the interim, you can register to qualify for acceptance and for a scholarship if you live in the city of Raleigh. We will contact you directly when we are ready to interview.

If you have further questions or concerns, contact Julie Falconer at julie@guidinglightsnc.org.
